If I could give 6 stars I would. Every item that we ordered was exceptional and Jessica led absolutely exceptional service! Really grateful to have a great restaurant that stays open late. Cocktails are fab, wine was great, steak was out of this world, sides are massive portions. Well done Cotton Calf Team!

Spent a delightful evening celebrating 29yr anniversary. Everything was delicious and business was decorated for holidays. Highly recommend this place for a special evening.

This was my first time dining at the restaurant and the entire experience was world-class from start to finish both in terms of cuisine and service. Our server, Montine, provided exceptional customer service, had a great knowledge of the menu, and provided some excellent recommendations for menu combinations and enhancements to my steak. We enjoyed an appetizer, salads, and two different steaks and they were perfectly prepared. The menu and wine selection were very robust, and the restaurant was extremely well staffed. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody in the area looking for a wonderful place to dine that is low key, but with the best cuisine and service you will find in the area.

Easily a top 5 Steakhouse outside of Atlanta. North Gwinnett and Hall counties have 2 outstanding steakhouses being Bare Bones and Cotton Calf, and I have to say Cotton Calf is an extremely competitive choice. Having sampled their charcuterie, crème of corn, and filet, I can easily say Cotton Calf has its bearings straight. The filet was almost perfectly prepared and melted in the mouth. Its smoked accents added wonderful flavors to its core. The restaurant is gorgeous located in downtown Braselton. A great place to come for special occasions!

Perfect spot for a special occasion or celebration. Came here for a birthday dinner and it exceeded all my expectations. The filet was wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The side dishes and drinks were excellent. As you would expect, the service was top tier and perfect for a special occasion. We had dessert given the occasion, which is rare for us, and it was out of this world. The ambiance in the restaurant is relaxing and very conducive for a nice night out with friends or for a date. The prices do match the high quality of the food and the experience, but it's certainly worth it if you're prepared and have proper expectations.

Every year's wedding anniversary has a 'theme'; year two is Cotton. So, my punny husband made reservations for us at the Cotton Calf Kitchen for our cotton anniversary. It was incredible. Nicole is very friendly and knowledgeable, it's obvious she takes great pride in her work and making sure every guest has a great experience. We had the oysters Rockefeller for an appetizer. They were the perfect temperature and the ingredients were balanced perfectly (garlic, cheese, spinach, and prosciutto complemented each other splendidly). For main courses, my husband had the Wagyu hanger steak and I had the lamb rack. Both were just *chef's kiss*. The lamb in particular was amazing. Perfectly cooked, and the sauce was just heavenly. My husband even dipped a few pieces of his steak in it! I will say (and this is a nit pick only because of how pricey it is and I know many of us are careful with our budgets), if you're deciding between the steak or another main (like lamb or sea bass, etc) and you prefer a more medium or under steak I'd advise going with the lamb or seafood. We've been here before (and had the filet and ribeye, in addition to the hanger this time) and the steaks both times had a few places where the outside was charred beyond chewable (and the steak was medium rare). Again, that is just a nit pick because of the price of the steak. Because it was our anniversary, a complimentary crème brûlée cheesecake was brought out to us with "happy anniversary" written on it. A very sweet and nice touch. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for a great wedding anniversary

***FOOD: fresh & overall tasty food but some things were burnt. SEAFOOD TOWER - very good with jumbo jumbo (yeah double jumbo) shrimp & blue pt oysters & a little lobster; GUMBO - very very good and beautifully presented; SIRLION STEAK - good, was a little undercooked for medium; KANSAS CITY STEAK - very good cooked perfectly; SHRIMP MAC N CHEESE - gooey rich 3 cheeses but didn't seem to have a lot of shrimp; SCALLOPS - bacon wrapped around scallops was so burnt. ASPARAGUS sides - good; LAVA CAKE - didn't really ooze with chocolate; KEY LIME PIE- love ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $$$$ it's expensive; $70 alone for the seafood tower & gumbo was $24 so you have an idea. ***DÉCOR: Dark mysterious and relaxed comfortable. Great for date night or to celebrate a milestone. Special occasion dining for sure ***SERVICE: our server seemed really nervous. Otherwise they were attentive. Filled our waters, our wine came right in time for the main. The manager stopped by a couple of times and asked us how our meal was which is nice but he never really made eye contact when he asked. Minor but it sort of indicates interest or sincerity. Service was perfunctory. Lots of parking in the back. Very popular place so it was crowded. ***RECOMMEND: YES RECOMMEND and will probably go back for special occasions.

Dishes Tried Chicken Offering * Dish: Boneless, skin-on chicken breast from Springer Mountain Farms. * Opinion: This dish stands out as both fabulous and quintessential, making it a highly recommended choice for sharing at the table. Fried Green Tomatoes * Batter: The medium-light batter provides a delightful crunch. * Tomato Sauce: While slightly overpowering, the sauce is balanced by the unexpected addition of green pesto, which enhances the dish's acidity. * Overall: A lovely dish that I would gladly enjoy again. Scallops * Preparation: Bacon-wrapped to harmonize the sweetness of the scallops with the salty, briny flavor of the bacon. * Risotto: Earthy and creamy, with perfectly al dente fresh vegetables. * Overall: A delightful and well-executed dish. Heirloom Tomato Salad * Size: Generous, offering great value for sharing. * Appearance: The tomatoes appear too perfect and lack the rustic, authentic look of true heirlooms. * Overall: While ideal for sharing, the appearance could be more rustic to enhance authenticity. Sautéed Sea Bass * Sauce: Complemented by a lemon butter caper sauce. * Texture: Delicate, flaky, and buttery. * Overall: A delightful choice that I would eagerly order again. Conclusion Cotton Calf Kitchen garners top marks for its exceptional food and service. This restaurant is a true treasure in Braselton, and its diverse menu offerings are well worth exploring repeatedly.
